Master of Science in Computer Science

HIGHLIGHTS OF THIS COURSE:

The M.Sc. Computer Science programme, was introduced at Parks College in the year 2019, intend to develop core competence in Computer Science and prepare the students to take up a profession in the highly competitive IT industry as well as carry out research and development. The M.Sc. Computer Science programme is a 2-year full-time course consisting of 4 semesters. The purpose of the programme is to develop human resources with core competence in various thrust areas of Computer Science with sound knowledge of theory and hands on practical skills.

Taking into account the curriculum that the students have undertaken at the undergraduate level, the M.Sc (CS) covers up the advanced courses in Computer Science. The programme includes a minor project in the 3rd semester and a major project in the 4th semester. In that, the course allows the students to specialize in the areas of their interests. This programme includes Advanced Software Engineering, Object Oriented Analysis and Design & C++, Data Mining and Warehousing, Digital Image Processing, Network Security and Cryptography and Artificial Intelligence. Guest lectures, case studies and presentations are organized from time to time to give an insight into the latest development and happenings in the industry.
