B.Sc. COMPUTER SCIENCE

Aim:

The goal of the Computer Science is to prepare students for Graduate training in some specialized area to prepare student jobs in software industry.Computer Science will prepare undergraduate students to accept and fulfill responsibilities across a broad spectrum of activities. They archive successful careers, as reflected by advancement to positions that include greater responsibility and intellectual challenge.

 

OBJECTIVE:

Upon Successful Completion of a major, in computer and Information Science & Students will be able to

  1. Demonstrate comprehension of modern Software engineering principles.
  2. Pursue Advanced Education, Research and Development, and other Creative efforts in Science and Technology.
  3. Developing a breadth and depth of knowledge in the discipline of computer science.
  4. Import Communication and soft skills to function as an effective professional.
  5. To train thestudents ability to creatively apply computer and related technologies in practical problems.

 

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION:

            H.Sc. passed and whenever the students have not studied Maths, the Necessary Mathematical knowledge is imported through residential / Bridge Course.

 

B.Sc. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Aim:

 The Information Technology major aims to provide students with a thorough grounding in the theoretical and practical aspects of the Information Technology discipline necessary for successful careers in the continually developing information technology environment. The major enables students to develop a strong foundation in the discipline as well as specialization in a particular area through a flexible curriculum. Through a wide range of electives, students keep pace with the latest trends in computing technology.

 

OBJECTIVE:

  1. A sound technical foundation in Information Technology and the ability to creatively apply computer and related technologies to practical problems.
  2. Communication and soft skills to function as an effective professional.
  3. Knowledge in specialized areas with awareness of broad multi-disciplinary issues, and the ability to continue personal development to keep pace with advances in information technology.
  4. Providing ongoing leadership and support to the organization’s succession efforts.
  5. An ability to apply mathematical foundations, algorithmic principles, and computer science theory in the modeling and design use current techniques, skills, and tools necessary for computing practice.
